Sportsworld 

This is a hybrid role based in our Teddington office with flexibility for homeworking, so you must live within a commutable distance.

As part of Destination Sport Group, Sportsworld specialise in the design & delivery of international travel & hospitality programmes for spectators, governing bodies, sponsors, media & corporations at major international sporting events. https://www.sportsworld.co.uk/ 

Due to an exciting year of growth we are now looking for an experienced Digital & Marketing Executive to drive Sportsworld’s digital marketing efforts to increase product awareness, social media engagement, and ultimately, contribute to business growth. You will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing digital marketing strategies across various channels to engage our target audience and drive results. Your innovative ideas and analytical skills will be crucial in optimising campaigns and ensuring that our marketing efforts are aligned with our business objectives.

This is a varied, hands on role and on a typical day you will;

  • Lead with the planning and implementation of all online marketing activity for Sportsworld.
  • Lead on implementation and delivery of email marketing including basic data segmentation, written content creation and email send.
  • Support with the creation of digital content for Sportsworld including social media, design and visual content creation.
  • provide ongoing management of all Sportsworld social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Deliver and optimise paid social campaigns to increase brand awareness, data capture and/or sales.
  • Create engaging visual content (photo/video) for Sportsworld social media, website and other marketing channels to showcase products and leverage talent access.
  • As required, support with other online and offline marketing activity for Sportsworld
  • Collaborate with Performance Marketing Analyst to ensure there is robust tracking and evaluation in place.
  • Support partnership activation for Sportsworld rights holder partnerships.
  • Understand sports and travel industry market trends to provide creative idea generation towards Sportsworld marketing strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with Sportsworld’s external marketing and PR agencies as required.
  • As required, support with selected partnerships management and activation activity across other Destination Sport Groups brands for all digital and wider marketing activity
  • Track and analyse campaign performance using Google Analytics and other reporting tools.
  • Prepare and present regular reports, highlighting campaign successes, areas for improvement, and recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Plan, execute, and manage multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Continuously optimise campaigns to reduce costs and improve return on investment.
  • Monitor all marketing activities for quality, ensuring campaigns are executed according to best practices and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and advertising guidelines.

Job requirements

To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:


  • Be educated to degree level in a relevant industry i.e. marketing, media or creative industries
  • Have significant experience of digital marketing trends and strategies
  • Have a keen interest in our core offering of sport events 
  • Have an understanding and experience of B2C marketing trends and strategies
  • Have experience of delivering strategic marketing activities across a variety of online and offline channels
  • Have a working knowledge & experience of HubSpot, WordPress, Adobe Suite products
  • Have understanding of how digital contributes to an overarching B2C marketing strategy
  • Have understanding of sports business and/or travel industry
  • Have an understanding of the role of data and insight within strategic digital marketing activities
  • Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects 
  • Have working experience with Microsoft Office product suite.
  • Be willing to embark on occasional domestic and international travel for work purposes.
