This is a hybrid role based in our Manchester office with flexibility for homeworking, so you must live within a commutable distance.

Sportsbreaks.com is a new customer brand formed in 2019 offering unforgettable sports travel experiences, for fans by fans. We offer ticket-inclusive products to many of the world's top sporting events. Despite being a new company, our team has a wealth of knowledge and an outstanding reputation in the sports travel industry having worked for over 15 years for the successful Thomas Cook Sport until the wider Thomas Cook brand went into administration in 2019. Sportsbreaks.com is part of Destination Sport Group, a global sports travel business based out of the United Kingdom.With an experienced team of sports fans, Sportsbreaks.com understand what supporters want from a sports trip, enabling us to create experiences that meet and exceed fan’s expectations.


Our new Marketing Executive - Email will plan, deliver and optimise marketing activity to help achieve Sportsbreaks.com’s ambition of become the most visible, trustworthy and comprehensive sports travel brand in the market. The role will focus heavily on email marketing, CRM and database segmentation, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:

  • Own email marketing, including content creation, email builds and templates, system management and optimisation, and have responsibility for the full marketing email calendar
  • Work with wider marketing teams to source best-in-class media that drive engagement across email campaigns
  • Build out email automation plans that will ultimately drive incremental revenue
  • Own the AB testing plan for all email campaigns and audiences
  • Responsible for email marketing reporting, ensuring campaigns are optimised for engagement and revenue
  • Work with our CRM team to ensure that customer and prospect data is managed effectively through the marketing team, is up-to-date, accurate, compliant and usable for all channel activity
  • Maintain and track audience segments and highlight actions required to ensure the business is growing key audience segments
  • Regularly undertake competitive analysis and feedback actionable insight into the wider marketing teams
  • Collaborate with performance marketing team to provide support for digital campaigns and ensure there is robust tracking and evaluation in place for all marketing activity
  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to understand opportunities to leverage partnership rights across other marketing touchpoints, ensuring relevant approval processes are followed
  • Understand sports and travel industry market trends to provide creative idea generation towards Sportsbreaks.com marketing strategy
  • Experience in utilising creative software including Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred

Job requirements

To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:


  • Be educated to degree level in a relevant industry i.e., marketing, media, or creative industries
  • Have marketing experience for a brand, agency, or sports organisation
  • Possess an understanding of (and interest in) sports business and the travel industry
  • Have a curiosity to always be optimising activity, regardless of current performance level
  • Have a positive outlook and the ability to be comfortable with change
  • Have a desire to keep learning
  • Have strong copywriting skills
  • Have a sharp eye for detail – it’s the little things that matter
  • Have a data-driven approach to digital marketing
  • Have strong organisational and planning skills
  • Have a willingness to embark on occasional domestic and international travel for work purposes
