This is a hybrid role based in our Manchester office with flexibility for homeworking, so you must live within a commutable distance.

Sportsbreaks.com is a new customer brand formed in 2019 offering unforgettable sports travel experiences, for fans by fans. We offer ticket-inclusive products to many of the world's top sporting events. Despite being a new company, our team has a wealth of knowledge and an outstanding reputation in the sports travel industry having worked for over 15 years for the successful Thomas Cook Sport until the wider Thomas Cook brand went into administration in 2019. Sportsbreaks.com is part of Destination Sport Group, a global sports travel business based out of the United Kingdom.With an experienced team of sports fans, Sportsbreaks.com understand what supporters want from a sports trip, enabling us to create experiences that meet and exceed fan’s expectations.


Our new Marketing Executive - Campaigns will plan, deliver and optimise marketing activity to help achieve Sportsbreaks.com’s ambition of become the most visible, trustworthy and comprehensive sports travel brand in the market. The role will focus heavily on planning, developing and executing marketing campaigns, and owning the day-to-day responsibility for influencers, affiliates and marketing activity with our network of travel agent partners.


Responsibilities:

  • Own the day-to-day responsibility of Sportsbreaks.com marketing campaigns, including ideation, planning, development, execution and optimisation of campaigns
  • Be responsible for Sportsbreaks.com’s marketing activity plan that integrates all channel plans and provides visibility of scheduled activity (and performance of that activity) across internal stakeholder groups
  • Develop and own the marketing activity plan needed to support our network of travel agents in the UK and internationally, providing content and assets that will support sales across key areas
  • Work with key influencers to expand the reach of our offering to a new audience groups, track performance of activity and optimising over time
  • Be responsible for the daily management of our affiliate partners, ensuring partners are set up with the correct assets, messaging, tracking links and commission structures
  • Support with occasional events when required
  • Collaborate with the performance marketing team to provide support for digital campaigns and ensure there is robust tracking and evaluation in place for all marketing activity
  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to understand opportunities to leverage partnership rights across other marketing touchpoints, ensuring relevant approval processes are followed
  • Understand sports and travel industry market trends to provide creative idea generation towards Sportsbreaks.com marketing strategy
  • Experience in utilising creative software including Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred

Job requirements

To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:


  • Be educated to degree level in a relevant industry i.e., marketing, media, or creative industries
  • Have marketing experience for a brand, agency, or sports organisation
  • Possess an understanding of (and interest in) sports business and the travel industry
  • Have a curiosity to always be optimising activity, regardless of current performance level
  • Have a  positive outlook and an ability to be comfortable with change
  • Have the desire to keep learning
  • Have strong copywriting skills
  • Have a sharp eye for detail – it’s the little things that matter
  • Have a data-driven approach to digital marketing
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Have a willingness to embark on occasional domestic and international travel for work purposes
