Our new Paid Search Specialist will plan, deliver and optimise paid search activity for Sportsbreaks, focusing on driving growth in priority areas, working within budget, and returning strong ROAS on all campaigns. The role will also require the candidate to have a solid understanding of user experience best practice and search engine optimisation.
Responsibilities:
Understand our buyer personas, competitors, and have a deep understanding of what drives search intent for our products
Have a detailed understanding of our products and services and how these fit with our audience base
Plan, execute, and optimise PPC campaigns on Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other platforms
Conduct keyword research, set up ad groups, and write compelling ad copy to attract potential customers
Monitor and analyse campaign performance on a daily basis, reporting performance back to the business and being accountable for the results
Manage and optimise budgets to maximise ROAS
Own the AB testing plan for all paid search activity
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and platform updates to ensure campaigns are following best practice
Work alongside wider marketing team & assist with ad hoc projects & campaigns
Job requirements
To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:
Be educated to degree level in a relevant industry i.e., marketing, media, or creative industries
Have paid search experience for a brand, agency, or sports organisation
Possess an understanding of (and interest in) sports business and the travel industry
Be Google Ad's certified (not essential but highly advantageous)
Have a base knowledge of user experience, search engine optimisation and conversion rate optimisation
Be confident in managing a campaign end to end starting from initial brief
Experience in using AB testing tools such as VWO
Experience in heatmap and survey analytical software such as HotJar
Experience in funnel analytics using software such as Google Analytics
Be confident in understanding & managing campaign budgets
Have a curiosity to always be optimising activity, regardless of current performance level
Have a positive outlook and the ability to be comfortable with change
Be passionate about both the analytical & creative sides of marketing
Have a desire to keep learning
Have strong copywriting skills
Have a sharp eye for detail – it’s the little things that matter
Have a data-driven approach to digital marketing
Have strong organisational and planning skills
Have a willingness to embark on occasional domestic and international travel for work purposes
