Destination Sport Travel
This is a hybrid role based in our Manchester, UK office with some flexibility for homeworking, so you must live within a commutable distance.
As part of the Destination Sport Group - https://destinationsport.com/ - Destination Sport Travel provides business travel services to a number of major sporting clubs & federations. Our bespoke business travel service has been designed and created to meet the specific requirements of sporting organisations, from scouts & individual player movements, through to commercial departments, directors and CEOs travel, both domestically & overseas. We are proud to be the Official Travel Partner/Supplier to several professional Sports Clubs, providing a range of services including the day-to-day travel of teams at all levels within the organisation (First Team, Youth, Women’s etc), plus Club Management, Directors and Sponsors.
This is a really exciting time of growth across the business, and as our Ticketing Consultant you will join our established Sports Groups department where you’ll play a key part in groups ticketing by assisting with manual fare builds, reissues, and invoicing. You’ll be required to manage queues within our GDS systems, process air tickets, reissues, and refunds, necessary admin duties and monitoring mailboxes. A key factor within this role will be strong attention to detail, ability to read and understand contracts and ticket instructions with drive and willingness to deliver a high standard of work.
No two days are the same in our sports travel team, but on a typical day you will
Process air BSP tickets and issue EMD/MCO’s for ancillaries in line with SLA’s
Process quotes and reissues, both automatically and manually, in a timely and accurate manner
Manage involuntary flight schedule changes that cannot be automated
Ensure accuracy in accordance with airline rules and regulations
Accurately process data and issue invoices
Support any commercial agreements in place through Air Fares Unit
Liaise with airlines when required
Ensure that communication channels are well established and maintained (internal & external)
Monitor team inboxes and prioritise tasks
Always portray a professional and knowledgeable manner
Continually strive to improve standards to meet and exceed objectives
Ensure all work is handled in line with current GDPR regulations
Job requirements
To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:
Have strong knowledge and experience with Galileo, however other GDS’s will be considered if paired with strong understanding of fares & ticketing
Have previous experience within the sport travel industry (Not essential but highly desirable)
Be highly attentive to details with a firm focus on ownership and accountability
Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and ability to follow complex instructions
Be able to work with different systems and liaise with airlines
Have knowledge of BSPlink is desirable.
Demonstrate outstanding communication skills both written & verbal
Be passionate & eager to learn from the wider team
Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills
Be able to think logically and consider all relevant aspects with strong analytical skills
Be able to pass on knowledge and skills to others through effective training
